Foods to Avoid

Invisalign โ€“ Foods to avoid

There are really no foods that you need to avoid with Invisalign, we always recommend a healthy diet. You just need to remember to wear your invisalign aligners all day and night. The only time you should be taking out your aligner trays are to eat a meal and/or brush your teeth. When you are ready to eat, just pop your aligner trays out, eat, brush, floss and put them back in until your next meal.

Metal Braces – Foods to Avoid

Although metal braces are sturdy, stable and advanced, these orthodontic appliances need to be handled with care. This means you need to eat foods that are gentle on the brackets and wires that hold your braces together and in place. You should generally avoid any foods that are sticky, hard, or chewy (as well as chewing gum). Soft foods are most recommended for those who wear braces because they are simply easier on your mouth hardware. You will also find that foods that are not soft are harder to remove from your braces when you brush.
